• About the Tournament

  Tournament Rules

  The Tournament will be played in a Scramble/Best Ball Format. Each team member hits a tee shot on each hole. The team members then choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second and subsequent shots from the best location.

  Each foursome must use the tee shot of each player at least twice.

  The Tournament should take 5 - 6 hours to play. To save time, move on after a double bogey!

  Score Cards

  When you have finished playing, please sign your score card and give it to the course pro.

  Have Fun Packets

  All players receive a Have Fun Packet at registration. The packet includes two mulligans, two raffle tickets, and one beverage cart ticket.

  Contests

  The SFNE Golf Tournament Committee has put together an assortment of fun contests and unique event holes to help make this tournament memorable. Some are free, and others have a minimal fee. The proceeds of the contests from your generous donations will help fund the SFNE Scholarship, which is designed to provide financial assistance to students pursuing an educational path and career in the steel fabrication industry.

  Free Course Contests (Tee shot qualifies only.)

  Each contest winner will receive $50.00!

  Closest to the Pin – Hole # 5 Straightest Drive – Hole # 14 Hole-In-One Contest – Hole # 15 ($10,000 Prize)
  Longest Drive for Men and Women – Hole # 18

  Fundraising Contests

  Hot Shot Cannon - Hole # 7 - $20.00 player - Sponsored by Intsel Steel, this new contest may pick up the pace of play while providing more fun and a unique experience! The winner – whoever holes it out or is closest to the pin – will receive a golf bag!

  Long Drive Pro – Hole #10 – Cost Varies by Contest – Your foursome can use the 400-yard golf professional’s drive to improve your score!

  Chipping Contest - Over the Water onto the Green at Hole # 18 – $5.00 per player – Some fun after the round is completed during the Networking Receptions! The player closest to or in the hole receives $50.00.

  Putting Contest – Putting Green – $10.00 per player – Three putts, three chances! The golfer who gets all or most of his/her putts in, or closest to, the hole receives $50.00.
